You definitely turned the party out!!!!! We thoroughly enjoyed your selections and your MCing was outstanding! We received so many compliments about you and your personal touches and interaction! I’d have to say that out of all the various vendors we dealt with, your professionalism, enthusiasm, confidence, and just down-right genuine kindness far surpassed all of them! Ray, Words cannot express how awesome you were on Saturday! Although you all had to wait a while for the bride you were awesome when I got there, the guests said they were entertained while they waited and it didn’t seem like they were waiting!!

Tom and I would just like to thank you sooo much for being apart of our wedding. You are a great DJ and you really made our wedding unique and fun! Wow. DJ Ray deserves far more than just 5 stars! We hired him for our wedding at Poppy Ridge Golf Course in Livermore last Friday and he did a PHENOMENAL job. Ray was recommended to us by one of my new husband’s good friend’s who also used Ray for her wedding. We had planned to meet with several DJ’s several months before our big day, but once we met Ray, we canceled all other meetings because we knew he was the one. Ray invited us to his personal home for an initial consultation, got a feel for who we are as a couple, recommended music that everyone would enjoy, while also accommodating the music that we wanted to incorporate. Leading up to our wedding, he made sure to be available by phone to add in any last minute songs. I would hire him again in a heartbeat, because he is truly a huge part of what made our wedding so special. Here are some of his highlights:

1. He arrived early and set up his equipment with more than enough time to spare.
2. He made sure our ceremony ran smoothly. I was so caught up in the moment, but he played the appropriate music at just the right times. I could tell he communicated on his own with our event coordinator and our Rabbi to ensure the perfect music was played at just the right time.
3. He made sure everyone felt welcome at our ceremony. On several occasions he went into the crowd to interact with our guests. He can also SING. (Something I didn’t know!). He truly made every one of my guests feel so happy.
4. He had so much variety in his music from Stevie Wonder to OutKast. He even played E-40 when I requested it!
5. He definitely came prepared. From the lighting to the speakers, the set looked amazing. I also completely forgot to wear my garter belt on the day of, and he had a makeshift one in his pocket that saved the day. Thanks again for that Ray!!

I can’t count how many people came up to me during and after our wedding to ask who our fabulous DJ was. Thank you so much Ray, for making our wedding unforgettable! If you are looking for a DJ for any type of event, Ray is your guy!

DJ Sugar Ray is the best DJ and emcee out there! He was the DJ/ emcee for my wedding. He goes above and beyond for the bride and groom to make sure their day is the best day and that it runs smoothly. He kept our dance floor poppin and also surprised us with his singing. We absolutely loved him. All our guests thought he was awesome and loved him too. Ray is outgoing, funny, punctual, entertaining, reliable, and most important he knows music and can read a crowd. He worked so well with our photographer and the timeline. 

He was so pleasant to be around. Honestly if you don’t hire him as your DJ you are making a mistake. He’s the best of the best! He’s actually passionate about music and DJ-ing. My husband and I were and still are so happy with everything Ray did for us. We will always recommend him to our friends, family, and anyone who will need a DJ. Book with him ASAP he is popular and his schedule fills up fast!

My husband and I still hear to this day how much fun our wedding was and it was in large part to the entertainment of Ray Cartwright. 

He becomes family, he is professional, he makes the party! When my stepson announced his engagement, there was no question who would be DJ’ing the big event! Without fail it was another epic evening that people will remember and talk about for all the years to come! You will not find Ray hanging out behind his set up all night – From the moment we waited for the bride/groom, the speeches, moving tables along for the buffet, announcing special dances, getting EVERYONE of all ages on the dance floor, cutting the cake to the last dance….. 

Ray truly was amazing handling it all and is a talent you want at your event! For us, we are a large blended group but that night, Ray brought us together as one big family that are now bonded by the love of these two very special people. Just remember, Ray has a passion for every aspect of what he does and it makes all the difference!

Can’t even begin to tell you how great this guy is, just amazing! Ray is a professional through and through. He hosted my mom’s 70th birthday this weekend, and I can’t count how many compliments we got for our DJ. Ray worked with our family ahead of time to be sure he understood the crowd we would have, as well as my mom’s favorite songs. She loves zumba and salsa/merengue dancing, and Ray was able to work with me to be sure he had all the right songs.

He confirmed our times ahead of the event date and stayed on point from arrival all the way to the last song. He connected with the crowd, kept everyone engaged, and even took photos! I was so busy that I didn’t take a single photo, and next thing I knew I had a bunch of photos available to view and enjoy immediately after the event. Ray does NOT disappoint!

Now where do I begin?? Do yourself a favor and hire Ray for ANY kind of event that you need a DJ for! Ray was so amazing and I’m still hearing compliments from family on our DJ Ray from my wedding! He is the most engaging DJ you will find, he was so cool, calm and just a natural entertainer and what I mean is he gets the crowd going, he jokes, he laughs and he will make an impression like no other DJ will. 

He has been doing this for so many years and it comes so natural to him. Trust him when he says he knows what he’s doing! Any DJ can set his station up, hit a button and play music but it takes an experienced outstanding DJ to gather your crowd together and get people on the dance floor you didn’t think could dance or make jokes that everyone could laugh at. As my sister was doing her speech, she was choking up and getting emotional and he walked over to her and put his arm around her, said you got this and calmed her down and she told me afterwards that he really did calm her nerves and she appreciated him. 

I have heard at least a dozen times “Your DJ was so cool, where did you find him?” Ray got all our songs right, played the genre we wanted, kept the night going, kept it alive! Thank you so much Ray and if I ever need a DJ for anything in the future I will be giving you a call!

My fiancé and I haven’t even gotten married yet, and already we want to give our endless praises to Sugar Ray! He is so professional, yet feels like you’ve been friends with him forever, puts you completely at ease that your wedding is your wedding, your style, Ray’s got your back. He knows the weight of the vibe a DJ carries for the whole of the wedding, and takes his job VERY seriously. He is very thoughtful with the tiny details, going the extra mile to make things special for you.
